Crystal is an Advanced Clinical Pastoral Counselor, Board Certified by the National Christian Counselors Association (NCCA) with a Doctorate of Ministry in Christian Counseling – Theological and Counseling Masters degree from Cornerstone University. She is also a Certified Trauma Services Specialist. With over 25 years of counseling experience, Crystal enjoys being a Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor. It allows her to combine psychology with theology and integrate a clients’ spiritual life into the therapeutic process. This is especially helpful with individuals who have experienced traumatic events in their lives, such as sudden/unexpected loss, combat trauma, sexual assault, physical abuse, and other traumatic life events. She understands that although human beings have an amazing ability to heal naturally after a short or intense crisis or even long and protracted periods of physical, emotional stress, sometimes the nervous system fails to return to a neutral state. Individuals trying to understand and escape this state of perpetual nervousness may begin coping with drugs/alcohol. She patiently works with clients to process past experiences and provides realistic tools for daily living to help you navigate life's challenges. She empowers them to make positive choices, which ultimately result in personal healing and wholeness. Her areas of clinical interest have varied over the 25 plus years and include Inglewood Drug Court, Central Juvenile Hall and serving as an Employee Assistance Professional for a major Labor Union. She has done extensive work with Youth, LGBTQ and homeless communities in Los Angeles. She worked to provide Crisis Counseling to Airline employees after 911. She has counseled in the areas of Suicide, Abuse, Depression, Domestic Violence, Gang Violence, Violence in the Work Place, Trauma, Self-Esteem, Sex Addiction, and other Sex-related issues. She is often called upon to provide immediate trauma intervention and victim/survivor assistance for marginalized, underserved populations. She has over 30 years of local Church service and leadership. She feels called to work beyond the four walls of the Church to reach hurting people in need of compassion, understanding and wise counsel.
As a Clinical Pastoral Counselor, Speaker and Teacher it is her ultimate purpose to glorify God and help ALL people find hope, purpose, and peace. As God heals all those experiencing pain and unmanageable life circumstances.
